Luke Littler will face James Wade in the final of the 2025 Betfred World Matchplay on Sunday evening, with the teenage sensation just one win away from claiming the Phil Taylor Trophy for the first time and completing darts’ prestigious Triple Crown.

Where to watch Littler v Wade: The match will be broadcast on SKy Sports in the UK and DAZN throughout Europe with a start time of 8.15PM.

Littler produced another headline making performance in his semi-final clash at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, battling back from 6-1 down to defeat Josh Rock 17-14 in one of the most thrilling matches the tournament has ever seen.

The highlight of the night came in the seventh leg, when the 17-year-old landed a sensational nine dart finish just moments after Rock had thrown back to back 180s.

Littler completed the perfect leg with a clinical 141 checkout on double 15, sending the Blackpool crowd into a frenzy.

The world champion also helped set a new Matchplay record during that semi-final encounter, as he and Rock combined for 29 maximums, the most 180s ever recorded in a single match at the event.

Littler’s composure and scoring power proved decisive, as he overturned a five-leg deficit to reach his first World Matchplay final.

Standing between him and the title is veteran James Wade, who edged out Jonny Clayton in a dramatic 20-18 semi-final win.

Wade, who lifted the Phil Taylor Trophy back in 2007, showed all of his trademark grit and experience to survive a late comeback from the Welshman and book his place in a third Matchplay final.

It’s been an impressive week for the 41 year old, who has quietly gone about his business and now finds himself one match away from repeating his glory from 17 years ago.

Should Littler triumph, he would become the youngest winner in World Matchplay history and only the fifth player ever to complete the sport’s Triple Crown, winning the World Championship, Premier League, and World Matchplay.
