Optimism is in short supply following two heavy defeats to start the season. Sean Dyche could face increased scrutiny if his team doesn’t improve quickly, but they have a chance to turn things around at home against Bournemouth.

However, the Cherries’ away form remains a concern; they won just six of their nineteen away matches last season and lost ten. They managed a draw in their league opener on the road this season, but have only won two of their last ten away games in all competitions.

Everton will need to bounce back eventually, and a midweek victory could boost confidence within the squad. Despite the betting odds, I’m leaning towards an Everton win here, as they have won six of their last seven encounters against Bournemouth at Goodison Park.
